CURRICULUM

Faith & Patience Daycare implements a curriculum for all age groups based on the Mother Goose program. This program includes activities that helps young children develop their minds and bodies as they learn from the world around them. This program is designed to be age specific and developmentally appropriate.

A detailed activity plan is posted in the classroom featuring activities appropriate for the children, such as communication/social skills, problem solving, music, motor activities and books. The preschoolers focus on a more detailed lesson plan which includes fine and gross motor activities, language/book center, home-living/dramatic play, art, music, teacher directed activities and free play.

Faith and Patience Home Daycare Daily Schedule:

6:00-7:15 Welcome, sign in, free play. Elementary students catch the bus
7:30-8:00 Breakfast (will not be served after 8:00)
8:00-8:30 Cirlce Time (theme of the month)
8:30-9:00 Dramatic Play
9:00-9:30 Arts & Crafts
9:30-10:00 Science or Language Arts
10:00-10:30 Music
10:30-11:00 Outside Play
11:00-11:15 Hand washing, potty time, preparing for lunch
11:30-12:00 Lunch
12:15-12:30 Hand washing, potty time, getting cots for naptime
12:30-2:00 Naptime
1:45-2:30 Elementary pick-up, Arrive at Daycare
2:30-2:45 Potty time, hand washing, preparing for pm snack
2:50-3:20 Snack
3:30-4:45 Homework & Tutoring
4:45- 5:30 Free Play, Outdoors (weather permits)
6:00- Close
